How This Work Feels

This work is about slowing down.

In a world that moves too fast, I offer massage as a quiet place to rest and where nothing is demanded of your body. I work therapeutically and intentionally, listening to your body’s cues allowing your nervous system to relax naturally rather than pushing for change.

Sessions with me are personalized to your needs that day and intuitively shaped by what feels most supportive in that moment. My approach prioritizes presence and gentleness with intention rather than intensity.

Each session with me is designed to feel grounding, safe, and supportive. This is bodywork for people who feel deeply, who carry stress quietly, and who benefit from steady rhythm, calm presence, and ease.

Who This Work Is For

This work tends to resonate with people who move through the world thoughtfully and carry a lot internally. It’s especially supportive for those who feel overstimulated, mentally busy, or disconnected from their body after long periods of stress.

Sessions may be especially supportive for people who:

• Feel mentally or emotionally overwhelmed
• Carry tension from stress or long hours at work
• Prefer slower, intentional bodywork
• Are sensitive to busy or overly stimulating environments
• Want a quiet, grounded space to reconnect with their body

Sessions

Each session is shaped by what your body needs that day. Techniques may include therapeutic, intentional massage along with supportive tools such as hot stones, gua sha, or cupping when appropriate. Your session will always include hot towels and a warming eye compress.

  • A focused session designed to address specific areas of tension while still allowing time for deep relaxation.

  • A more spacious experience that allows for deeper work, full-body integration, and a slower pace.

Common Questions

Here are a few common questions people have about massage therapy, including some specifics about my practice.

  • We begin with a brief check-in about how your body is feeling that day and anything you’d like the session to focus on. From there, the work unfolds slowly and intuitively.

  • That’s completely up to you. Some clients enjoy quiet sessions, while others prefer to chat a bit. You’re always welcome to talk, ask questions, or simply relax in silence—whatever feels most comfortable that day. Many people find that allowing quiet helps the body settle and feel the work more fully.

  • Sessions are personalized and may include slow, deep massage along with supportive tools such as hot stones, hot towels, gua sha, or cupping when appropriate.

  • The goal is not to force change, but to create the conditions where your body can unwind naturally and settle into a deeper state of relaxation. And in that state is where true healing begins.

  • You’ll undress to your level of comfort once the session begins and lie under the sheets on the table. Most people choose to undress completely or keep their underwear on—either is perfectly fine.

You will always be professionally draped with the sheet, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered at any time.

The goal is for you to feel comfortable, relaxed, and at ease throughout the session.

  • The work is generally slow and intentional, and pressure can range from gentle to deeper depending on what your body needs and what feels comfortable for you.

Rather than forcing deep pressure, the focus is on working gradually into the tissue and allowing the body to soften naturally. Many people find that this slower approach allows the work to reach deeper layers without feeling overly intense.

You’re always welcome to let me know if you’d like more or less pressure at any point during the session.

  • That’s completely okay—and very common. Many people drift in and out of sleep during their session as the body relaxes. Your body will still receive the full benefit of the work.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed appointments will be charged 50% of the session cost to the card on file.escription

  • Your appointment time is reserved especially for you. If you arrive late, your session will still end at the scheduled time so the time set aside for your session can be respected. The full service fee will still apply.n
